1 〔ある数量からある数量を引く〕 take away [off]; deduct; subtract; dock 《a day's pay》; 【法】 recoup.

●給料から差し引く deduct [take] 《an amount》 from sb's salary [pay]; dock sb's pay

・手数料を差し引く deduct a handling [processing] charge

・税[必要経費]を差し引いて 50 万円の収入 an income of \500,000 after tax [expenses].

●その費用は私の給料から差し引かれた. The cost was taken [deducted, docked] from my pay.

2 〔考慮に入れる〕 calculate for…; bear sth in mind.
